In which Grunt gets an unintentional lesson in human sexuality.
Shep realized that Grunt might need someone to give him a sex talk. She considered forcing Garrus to do it on the shuttle back to the Normandy for her own amusement, and briefly considered doing it herself. Considering that her own behaviour had been described as “perverse” (although, she preferred “uninhibited”), she wasn’t really the prime candidate. It would probably be better to get someone with a working knowledge of krogan physiology, and a rapid-fire lecture on krogan sexuality and mating habits from Mordin seemed very unlikely to get sexy.
Besides, now there was Garrus to deal with. It may have sounded like she was talking about him, but Shep was pretty sure she didn’t actually mean him.
In which Shepard attempts to educate Grunt about the birds and the bees
(and fails miserably)Shep wasn’t really prepared to give Grunt a sex talk, but he was persistent and she hoped Garrus might be able to assist. She attempted to recall what she had been told when she was younger, and things went predictably awry.
[Ed: I suspect this is as close to “maternal” as Shep is capable of. What she says in panel 2 is basically what my mom said to me when I was in high school. Panel 4 is what a friend heard from his mom.]
